Synopsis

PSS318 Risk Management in Event Planning discusses the risk management tools and techniques that could be utilised to identify and mitigate the risks associated with planning public and private events. This course focuses on the role of security professionals in ensuring the safety and success of events. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to conduct risk assessments for events, understand the regulations and guidelines specific to events planning, consider the operational aspects in ensuring a safe and secure environment and recommend controls to minimise the risks that may threaten events security.
