SUSS currently does not have a permanent campus and rents multiple premises (including at the Singapore Institute of Management in Clementi) to accommodate its growing enrolment. Having a permanent campus will enable SUSS to enhance its students’ educational experience, and propel SUSS to the next stage of development as a young and growing university.

The city location will significantly enhance SUSS’ accessibility for part-time and adult learners, who make up the majority of its student intake, and enable more Singaporeans to benefit from SUSS’ upskilling programmes and professional development opportunities.

The proximity to industry and community partners will further support SUSS’ mission to create meaningful societal impact through applied education, research, and collaborative partnerships.

The new campus will accommodate 40,000 students, both full-time and part-time.

The campus will provide a conducive learning environment for effective and experiential learning. There will be opportunities for collaboration and interaction with peers, industry practitioners and academics – to equip our students with relevant skillsets for their future careers.

SUSS’ centralised location would mean closer proximity to industry and community partners, facilitating the teaching and exchange of ideas to tackle real-world societal issues.

SUSS students, faculty, staff and alumni will benefit from a purpose-built campus designed to support learning and collaboration. With improved accessibility, less time will be spent on commuting, allowing for more productive hours on campus. For working adult students, who form the majority of SUSS’ cohort, the campus will provide experiential learning opportunities through meaningful collaboration and interaction with peers, industry practitioners, and academics.

Its central location will also foster deeper connections with industry partners and neighbouring communities, to co-create and exchange knowledge and ideas, and better serve the needs of the people.
