Synopsis
In this course, we will provide an overview of contract law, introducing
the participants to the essential elements that forms a contract. This workshop
aims to equip participants with basic knowledge and understanding of a contract.
By introducing the requirements for a binding contract, participants will be
able to determine terms and conditions suitable for their business needs. The
delivery of the content related with contract law will be done in an engaging
manner, allowing participants to share their experiences and exchange best practices
in the formation of an agreement. Participants will be given relevant case studies
that will provide them with an opportunity to examine the clauses and find remedies
when a term is breached.

Trainer's Profile
Dr
Razwana Begum
Senior Lecturer, Singapore University of Social Sciences
With a background in law, Dr Razwana was not keen in representing offenders
in court; instead she wanted to work with them, identify their potentials and
guide them towards leading a socially responsible lifestyle. Razwana started
her career as a Social Worker before joining the Ministry of Social and Family
Development as a Probation Officer. To improve her skills, Razwana studied social
work, criminology and counselling. She completed the doctorate programme with
Monash University. After close to 19 years of service with the Ministry, Razwana
joined the Singapore University of Social Sciences in July 2018. She is the
Head for the Bachelor of Public Safety and Security Programme. She works closely
with different Ministries in the development of courses in the area of criminology,
ethics, restorative justice and rehabilitation. Razwana has presented papers
and conducted training sessions locally and at various international seminars.

Course Fee
1 Mid-Career Enhanced
Subsidy: Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90%
of the course fees.
2 Enhanced Training
Support for SMEs: SME-sponsored employees (Singaporean Citizens and
PRs) aged 21 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fees.
- Participants are required to achieve at least 75% attendance and/or sit and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement.
- Participants are required to complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.
- The course fees are reviewed annually and may be revised. The University reserves the right to adjust the course fees without prior notice.
