Overview
This programme integrates essential pedagogical knowledge and skills tailored to practicing teachers as well as those interested in sport, physical education and outdoor education. Courses in this programme are designed to provide a broad spectrum of theoretical knowledge, as well as practical skills that are essential for the work place.
Developed in consultation with the Physical Education and Sports Teacher Academy (PESTA) and experts in physical education (PE), the programme has been benchmarked to programmes in the top universities offering sports and physical education The programme comprises the key sport science and sport management courses, and has the flexibility to allow students to choose not only courses in various areas including sport coaching, teaching physical education and sports, and outdoor education, but also a minor study of their choice.
You may pursue Sports and Physical Education as a single major or in combination with a minor.

There is a broad spectrum of career opportunities. Depending on their chosen focus area of study, graduates will be well placed to pursue careers in areas such as physical education, outdoor education, sport & physical activity, fitness & health, leisure & recreation, sport business, sport marketing, sport management, sport communication, technology applications in sport, and digital media in sport.
Programme Structure
Students are required to complete a total of 130 credit units () to graduate with a basic degree, inclusive of 20 of SUSS Core courses.
The breakdown of the to be completed is:

Admission Requirements
General Admission Criteria:
Refer to general admission criteria for undergraduate programmes.
Additional Degree Specific Requirements:
- Sports-related diploma (by reputable colleges or polytechnics*) or A-levels with demonstrated sport competencies.
- Relevant work experience / other demonstrated competency in Sports may be considered.
- Compulsory submission of their health memo and, if necessary, supplementary forms.
- Compulsory submission of their CV in the prescribed format.
* These include: NIE Diploma (Physical Education, Primary), NIE Diploma in PE (In-service), NIE Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PE), or sports-related diploma from local or overseas.
Interviews will be conducted for all shortlisted applicants to assess their suitability and ability to complete the programme.
