Ms Melissa Kwee is a bridge-builder who enjoys catalysing partnerships with social entrepreneurs to birth their dreams. She is actively
connecting leaders to build ecosystem strategies for the common good.
She believes life-long friendships are the purpose of life. Her passion for mentoring crystalised in
Beautiful People, a values-based community of diverse big and little sisters journeying together through life.
Melissa currently serves on the board of her family-owned Pontiac Land Group and most recently as CEO of the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre which birthed the national vision: Singapore – City of Good, raising up the Company of Good community,
giving.sg amongst other initiatives to strengthen the giving ecosystem.
Melissa completed a two-term Presidency of the UNIFEM where she tackled sex trafficking and equipped
foreign domestic helpers with financial education and entrepreneurship skills. Through her career, she has led multi-stakeholder transformation to create new initiatives, build ecosystems and re-think strategies for the arts, youth, mature workers, criminal justice and education.
The anthropologist graduated from Harvard College magna cum laude where she received a Fulbright Scholarship to Nepal. She was a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley and currently a Justice of the Peace.
