SUSS Core Curriculum Overview
The SUSS Core curriculum develops adaptive and resilient global citizens through 4 branches of courses imbued with our core philosophy of Head, Heart, and Habit (3Hs), and offers our undergraduates a shared SUSS experience. These courses keep our students rooted in strong theoretical foundations and applied knowledge, and equip them with skills for personal, interpersonal, professional and organisational success. They enable learners to appreciate complex issues in local and global contexts, enhance their understandings of individuals, communities and relationships, and empower them to contribute meaningfully to society through interdisciplinary approaches and experiential learning.
SUSS Core Courses
Students are required to complete courses from all 4 branches according to the requirements specified by their programme. The courses offered under each of the four branches are listed in the table below.
For July 2023 Intake onwards, full-time undergraduate students are required to complete 60 cu of SUSS Core courses and part-time undergraduate students with and without honours are required to complete 30 cu and 20 cu of SUSS Core courses, respectively.
